Exporting a combined map from multiple subtools

Hi

I have a request from within an established pipeline which relates to generating displacement, normal, and colour maps from seperate subtools, but automatically having these maps combined upon export.

Scenario
A ztl with multiple subtools, each subtool has UVs laid out to avoid over lapping within 0-1. The particular UVs in the 0-1 space relate to the density of the subtool.

For example say the hands and the feet of a character only need to be subdivided to sublvl 3, these different subtools’UVs would share the 0-1 without overlapping, so when the map is exported ideally all the maps are combined automatically.

So what I am looking for is a way to tell zbrush to generate maps for multiple subtools and have those maps automatically combined upon export.

I have no idea if this is possible from within zbrush but any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t believe that the auto-combine is possible. I certainly can’t think of a way off hand that it could be accomplished through ZScripting. Perhaps a compiled plugin could do it, but that’s out of my league.
