I wonder if it is possible to export 16-bit normal maps directly from zbrush 3.5r2
Or is it possible to convert 32-bit tiff displacement map to 16-bit normal map
(png or tif) to have high quality normal maps in realtime engine…
Thanks
I haven’t used 3.5, but in 3.1 any time you export using the Displacement pallet you’re exporting at 16-bit image. There is also a 16-bit option in the MD3 plug-in.
Of course…
But when it comes to export HD sculpt to 16-bit normal map (only with zbrush 3.5) it would be nice to have a way out.
For now I’m converting the 16-bit displacement map to 16-bit normal map with shader map, wich loads et exports PNG16.
