Exported OBJ loses UVs in Maya

Has anyone else had this issue?

I have export out obj’s to maya with uv’s all the time. Last night was a first.

I exported a leaf obj with uv’s and they would disappear as soon as I imported into Maya. The workaround was to export as a .ma, and copy and paste into working Maya document. I would prefer not to use a workaround.

Any ideas as to why this could happen?

ZBrush will export UVs with an OBJ file if the Tool>Export>Txr button is turned on. So, you could check that. You might also re-import the OBJ into ZBrush and check the UVs. If they’re OK then the fault must be with Maya.

It’s on by default, so it’s unlikely it’s the cause but still worth knowing about!
