How do I export a tool with multiple subtools so that I can import them all at once in Keyshot and still keep separate (sub)objects? I’ve tried subtool master, but that way I end up with one big OBJ file that has no sub-objects.
To answer my own question:
- Merge all subtools with ‘subtool master’
- Export merged subtool (only check ‘merge only’)
- Import in KeyShot with ‘keep individual parts’ and ‘materials’ selected
- Right-click on each individual part and choose ‘unlink material’.
- Assign new material to part.
