Export polypainted OBJ to 3dsMax

I am having trouble exporting a 9-million poly Ztool as an OBJ to 3D Studio Max.

The Ztool is polypainted within Zbrush: I have followed other troubleshooting threads which say to UV the model in Zbrush, then make a new texture from polypaint using "new from polypaint". That gives this result within Zbrush: Finally, I exported the Ztool as an OBJ, which also exported a BMP texture file and a .mtl file, for use in 3DS Max. However, when I import into Max, the texture does not map correctly.... The texture is clearly there - you can see skin tones and the purple and white of the toga, but it is not mapped correctly. What am I doing wrong? Any help much appreciated! Thanks in advance

so…about those pictures…

Don’t know specifically for max but you may have to flip your textures vertically before saving them out of zbrush. You can do this from the Texture palette in zbrush

Thank you for the suggestion and apologies all for messing up the picture attachments before!

I tried flipping the texture vertically as you thought, Richard, and it did help. But, there are black artifacts all over the texture(as before), even though it is now mapped correctly!

any thoughts?
