export model with noise to modo?

Hello,

new to Zbrush … it’s a pity that there is anymore a trial available :-/

So, because I can’t try it -> I have to ask you this one here:

I do most of my work with Modo and Maxwell, but I’m not always happy with the sculpting-tools in Modo. The quality how Zbrush can ad noise to a surface is really great (as far as I can see in the videos) but can I export the mesh with the noise-surface as a high-quality-poly-mesh back to Modo and render it with Maxwell?

Yes. After you are happy with the noise effect you can “Bake” the noise into the mesh with the button “Apply To Mesh” under the Tools>Surface menu. From there you can just export as normal.

May I ask you to create a simple 1x1m Cube with a noise surface and to upload the file on a service like dropbox so that I can download it and take a look on it with my workflow?

Here is a cube obj with noise applied.

Wow, this looks great! Thank you!
Can you please upload a cube with a finer noise too?
