Experimenting with toon render - WIP

Experimenting with rendering with the comic/toon shaders. With the new Photoshop plugin that was just released it makes rendering and compositing very easy.

So far the scene is just being built, I am in the process of adding details like a boat, railing, ladder, rope etc… But I was so happy with the initial results from the toon shader that I wanted to go ahead and post the progress.

Looks good.
Rendered in zbrush?

Yes, I should have posted the link to the shaders that I used. It’s somewhat widely known. Credit goes to Pablander for the materials.:

For this one I did a BPR render with the Ink Inline 2 material and also the flat color. Then I used the very handy Zbrush To Photoshop plugin from Pixologic. What you see at the top is 3 layers in photoshop:

bpr depths (soft light)
ink inline 2 render (soft light)
flat color render (normal)

Thx for the info, and post more cool stuff…

Adding details to the scene before painting and re-rendering in toon. I think I’m almost there, just need to add some detailing to the blocked out rails, chair and lamp. C&C welcome.
