Expeller 1

Hi,
been fiddling around with noise maker, UVs and polly groups.
Would love to know how to project a texture onto a low poly model using existing GUV tiles.

This is gorgeous!
Great work and a fantastic object.
I would like to know how to do that as well, I have no real understanding of UV maps and have never gotten something out of ZBrush with its textures (like how all the game development people do with low poly stuff) and its driving me crazy.
I will figure it out however and I will make a tutorial when I do.

hey,
I will make a utube vid for you of what I have found out to make this object. I know what you mean about being driven crazy-I think about all the different things I could try all of the time.
Cheers Russell.

Impressive work :+1:

I’m not sure what you mean but it seems impossible.
As far I know, other apps are capable for such operations.
ZBrush does not support “BoxBlenderMapping”. So, to bake it on any UV map, even GUV.
ZBrush does not support direct painting on UV maps as well. Projection master was able to do such a job but I have long time to use it. I use other apps for such operations anyway.

fantastic detail man… how many polys there?

Thanks for the feed back, I will try projection master out. Learning a lot but still quite a few blind spots.

Hi tyrellcorp (Love the name)
1.5 million all up using 7 sub tools- most of the detail is in noise maker. check out this vid I just uploaded-shows how to do it. or search -donut for mealea.

You are my hero, thanks for the noisemaker video, now I can make my biomech surface experiments with much lower poly count than before. :+1:

Sweet as!
Had a wee look at your images and this effect will work well!

Noisemaker!!!
BRILLIANT!!! What an awesome idea!
I never use that cause I could never think of a reason to do so.

Thank you VERY much for the video! its terrific!

Do you want to render it outside of Zbrush? Whats your plan? Maybe there is a workaround.

Hi,
I only have zbrush at this stage, I want to have a texture then put it into the model using a texture map. I might have to look at unwaping and such to get there.
The GUV tiles look way too detailed to use-lots of tiny little bits. I will try a standard unwrap with uv master and see how I get on. New at the Uvs etc.
Do you use other apps as an extention of zbrush?

Actually I use only Zbrush for modelling and rendering. I don´t like those hyperrealistic renderings for my work. Here is an excelent UV Master tutorial that could be of interest for you.

Yeah this looks very interesting!
Thanks so much for this link. Cant wait to try it out on something new.
Cheers Russell.
