indeed they are creepy, what did you use to render?

Mikeporetti:thanks, the renders are a mix of zb3 screen shots and one global illumintaion pass.Spec passes x2 using toy plastic and a metal ,diffuse x1 and a little postwork in cs2.
Layers put together using Darthwaynes free video tuts !(on my other thread linked below).

I like your heads man. They are vibrant with color and textures and i enjoy their shapes. Very well done. They look “quick” and i dont mean that in an offensive way. In how much time do you whip one of these beauties up? I also get the impression you use alot of sculpting in combination with rgb painting. It works really well. Having color and geometry supporting eachother. Especially love your latest “cold” demon. Ive been working on an “evil head” of my own but have run out of time for a nice comp in photoshop. Tomorrow ill see if i can comp a nice render together in photoshop. Here is the result so far. Thanks for the first “challenge” i felt enthousiastic enough about to actually join

3dioot:Welcome aboard and thanks for joining.
I had a look at your wip and look forward to seeing your comp.Looks good so far!
In regards to how long I spend on my heads, well~I guess it depends how much time I have at a sitting .Sometimes it could be less than an hour ,other times I could be back and forth over days.I do my sculpting first, then I use differing opacity settings with the paint strokes and sometimes use cavity options.
Cheers cal

hi, this head i made months ago can fit well into this thread, i think. Modo and LW for base mesh and render, and Photoshop for hair and color correction. ZB for sculpting, displacement, spec and translucency maps

abraXas:What a great character you have there!I really like the forms of this guy,he has kept the mainstream human form which we need for any belief to be maintained and the animal intregation works best at these kind of levels I feel. Thanks alot for adding this guy to the thread. He fits in perfectly and this is the kind of thing I was hoping for.Great work and feel free to post any others!(to all)!Maybe we might get some inspiration from seeing the variations and come up with some really evil pieces of work!

Didnt get to it yesterday but im zbrushing now. Decided to start from scratch since i didnt really like the way the other head was going. Still deciding what direction im going to take this one. It was fun to paint the other face though (first time). Curious where this will take me since i dont really have a plan
