Evenly smoothing a bumpy surface (whilst keeping the proportions)

Hi, I’m using Zbrush 4R5 and I’ve roughly sculpted a shape (like a curved doughnut shape), made with dynamesh with fairly high resolution, but it’s got a lot of bumpy parts - I want it to be nice and smooth/rounded. “Smooth” brush only does small areas and would take forever to keep lining it up, smoothing a bump, lining it up, smoothing a bump etc.

Should I re-sculpt it? Is there a way to salvage this? Can I smooth the bumps out without changing the topology too much? Because I want to raise some parts/lower others so it’s smooth, if that makes sense!

Any ideas? I’m still learning and this is one of the main sticking points for me. Thanks!

Have you tried any of the smooth and polish deformations (tool: deformation). Those will often apply to larger areas, basically whatever is visible and not masked.
