"Eternal Nightmare" project

OK, I don’t know if I’ll get lambasted for posting this, but here goes. This is a project that’s going to be on my student reel. Although it’s not a strictly Zbrush project like many posts here, and it doesn’t have mega-displacement, I did use Zbrush on it for some subtle displacement and bump, and so I thought I’d post it anyway. It was sort of the first thing I brought into Zbrush, to get my feet wet in the program and get used to how it worked.

The shot is based on a painting by Ed Repka, for an album cover called "Eternal Nightmare" by the 80s thrash metal band Vio-lence. Anyway, this was a 3-man student project.. one guy did texturing/lighting, another did rigging, and I did modeling, animation, compositing and dynamics (on the flapping bed sheet). AND, Zbrush Central's own MONKEY MUSCLE was our "STUNTMAN"!!! :D And yes, this will make him world famous, as we are fortunate to have the band using the shot on their retrospective DVD due this summer on Megaforce Records! OK, enough blabbing.. I'm attaching a still from the shot, as well as the original album cover for comparison. Finally, here is a link to a Quicktime (664 K) of the f/x shot. The compression takes a bit away from it, but hope y'all enjoy it. [http://www.venomize.com/images/gallery/nightmare_web.mov](http://www.venomize.com/images/gallery/nightmare_web.mov)
