Thanks Magda - you’re most welcome hopefully you’ll get some good use out of them! -> more are on the way… Hope all’s well on your side; look forward to seeing some of your new stuff - best regards
i just finished watching the vids and reading through the thread. very grateful for your efforts on this. this is a very elegant way to work in zbrush on these kinds of shapes. thanks for making me a better z-brusher!
mmars: thank you & thanks for taking the time to drop me a line -> stay tuned for more!
hey, Etchar I seen you’re gun tutorial and I was wondering has you’re zbrush hard surface modeling changed a lot more since r4 now we are at r6 and have panel loops dynamesh has been upgraded along with many other features.
Also has work sped up since the updates.
Hi Meathelix
My workflow as presented in the gun modeling tutorial hasn’t changed that much: I still use the clipping brushes but now always with Dynamesh to keep my mesh clean after clipping. I also love the new Trim Brushes -> they work great with the CurvebridgeBrush to cut holes into meshes. The ability to cut holes into meshes like this has me using ShadowBox less and less to create a starting mesh
My workflow didn’t speed up that much with the new functionalities. To me, they are an addition to my workflow, allowing for more elegant solutions when boxmodeling, and / or sculpting hardsurface stuff.
Cheers!
Would love to see another tutorial on how you would build another hard surface model See the difference with out having to use shadowbox as much. Please!
Thanks
Meathelix: Well, under normal circumstances I would love to do a tutorial. But alas, I totalled my car in March and broke my neck, luckily everything healed fine after a three month recovery period but now I’m swamped with all the work that I need to catch up with… so I can’t promise anything
Anyways, study the Clip Brush - TrimBrush - Dynamesh combo -> it’s awesome!

Your work is amazing i still have such a long way to go if i ever wish to be half as good as you are
For some reason, the download for zipper brushes doesn’t work.
Any mirror available?
Thank you
Maximus542: thanks so much for the nice comment small_orange_diamond
Well, it does take a bit of time to learn all the ZBrush features, but it’s definitely worth it! Happy ZBrushing & look forward to seeing your works on ZBC
boumay: I tested the links on both my website and here in my sketchbook (page 53) and they worked fine Does THIS link work for you? Could you give the links another try and let me know if they work?
Thank for the answer and the link.
But it doesn’t work for me, I don’t know why, I just click and… nothing. The rar format file could be a problem since the manager technically forbids the use of this format at the office for some reason. Can you upload a zip file just to try?
Thank you.
Geert - after all the amazing energy you have shared with this community, I’m moved to thank you for your dedication and all of the resources you have given us. I just spent several hours going through your incredibly generous Etcher_Sketcher thread, and am so sad that you had a horrible accident and broke your neck. Have you recovered? You don’t know me, of course, but I just had to express my gratitude for your work, and my concern over your long silence.
All the best to you,
Heather
