Etcher_Sketcher

:D:D:D Hey, there you are! With a great anatomy sheet and on top of that before I updated. Now I should better hurry up!
I love all your anatomy sculpts and sheets. I learn from it just by looking at it (saved all your sheets in an Etcher folder  hope you dont mind). I wanted to go to bed (it was rather late as always :)) then I checked my mails and had gotten my upgrade mail. In short: No sleep then. :D The new brushes are awesome. Im going to check out everything else tonight.
Hope you post the next update quickly (no pressure this time…just can`t wait to see them :)).

PS: I read what you wrote about the windows update… :rage: I HATE IT :rage: !! Happened to me for more than 5 times so far! When Im at home my computer is always on, even if Im doing something else… cleaning up…whatever. Zbrush or at least the windows player is always active so I dont understand why it doesns ask “need to install new updates and restart, please save …etc”
15minutes before its shutting down automatically theres a countdown. Not cool. If you dont see that message everythings lost. I hope they change that one day.

Hey Etch this is really interesting - i just downloaded my version of R3
and i think i need to install it right now
hope to see the whole skeleton soon man.
At the first glance i thought the zsketch is a photo of some kind of plastecin or something like that -lol :+1:

that windowsupdate-autorestart really sucks
i turned it off and do it manually because i dont want my computer to decide things like that by himself- i think that is scary

:+1: Great updates man, really looking forward to see more.i have said it before and repeating again i really like the presentation.keep it up Etcher.

Very nice to see you back on track again Etcher! Im actually sculpting the human skeleton at the moment, and Ive just started on the scapula, what a coinsidence!
I started with a base from C4D, but this approach looks much better!
Ill keep an concentrated eye on this one for sure :+1:

Hi mate,Still wondering why the access to Etcher thread fee is not enabled ha ha.Im riding this tutorial wave in my bermuda shorts and the surfs insane. Looking forward to seeing how you assemble all the sections and I can hear the drumroll on the 3d print already.Sorry to hear about your windows issue.Im not even going there!Catch you soon, thanks again for your workflow revelations.Helps so many people like me,

Moni-Poroni: hehe, I’m first :)… . You should hurry up: stop playing with R3 and get to work right now!!! I’m glad the anatomy stuff is useful – hope you got some space left in the Etcher folder, cause more is on the way! I’ll try to update fast, but I’m struggling (as always) to get the sheets together and the movies edited. Oh, I disabled automatic windows update… .

Schiefer: thanks a bunch man! Yeah, you need to test R3 out asap, it’s awesome! I hope you will like the next updates – showing more of the skeleton! Quote:” At the first glance i thought the zsketch is a photo of some kind of plastecin or something like that” my thoughts exactly: that’s why I chose that material for those pics! Automatic update is now off!!!

Romilchoprazb: thank you Romel!!! More updates are on the way – hope you will like them!!! Thanks again for your support.

Looks very nice!
I was thinking about how to make the spine, first making one vertebrae of each kind, and then copying them, and in that way be able to integrate the middle sections with the ribs.
Then I realised that sculpting it from one peace of geometry would be a better idea, but now seeing this creative approach I get very inspired to go with roughly the same concept, just marking out some land marks for the ribs and muscles.

Thanks for showing me(us) the potential of Zsketch, I didn’t even think about using it for the skeleton :o

Hey Etcher, aaaah you know me…of course Im playing with the new R3.:D Actually the first project is ready for posting but now that I have R3 I need to change a few things.. the new brushes are so cool! Im sure you understand me.
Now lets shift attention to your update, hehe. Its great! Thats looking very different from all the skeletons Ive seen to date (of course Im talking about the style, not about the anatomically correctness because I know all your stuff is anatomical correct for sure:)). Very cool! You know I admire your anatomy stuff. Oh and no worries, I have enough space left for stuff like that. :) I can imagine that it takes very long to get all those sheets together but its worth it because they look very professional. :):+1:

Man, this is extreme cool. I’m looking forward for more!!

Cheers!

Nice work…10/10

You make every thing appear to be so straight forward.Looking really good in all aspects.Have a good weekend buddy, thanks cal

Looking forward to seeing 3D prints of this stuff! :):+1:

My God Etcher…
you have one mind very cool, i’m sure!
all your works is very very cool, shapes awesome…
Skeleton torso imho is really nice, my compliments.

My congratz also for all your last works, i’m miss the forum for longer time, and now i see all your works…

GREAT!

best regards

p.s. sorry for my english :frowning:

Santis: thanks bud! On the spine issue: I have to admit that I’m working on a version where every vertebrae is ZSketched and polished separately, but it’s an imense work: sculpting it as one volume is gave me a good feeling of it’s proportions and main shape though. The update below won’t be of much use to you, but make sure to keep an eye out for the next – I’ll be taking things a step further! Looking forward to seeing your skeleton worx!

Moni-Poroni: clock is ticking… 20 hours, 19, 18… :). On the style thing: you’re right, it’s meant to be nothing more than a study/reference model but it does have a certain aestethic to it, which will even be reinforced in the next update (not the one below, but the next one), you’ll see. 17… 16… 15…

Alexmarik: thanks a lot man, and thanks for letting me know! Here’s more – and more to come! Hope u like :).

Calum5ZB: thank you friend! Hope you had a great (Z) weekend too  quote:”You make every thing appear to be so straight forward” well I struggled so long trying to find my way to good info on drawing/sculpting (that is, until I bumped into ZBrush and ZBC), I hope my thread points people in the right direction faster, hopefully saving them some time and frustration… .

Marsyas: me too Geoff, only thing is… I’d like to have a life-size print too… still not quite sure on how to tackle that one. I wish there would be something like that 3d-imaging device they had in the first season of Bones.

Cherea: Thank you for your kind and very motivating comments!!! I hope you’ll like my next skeleton updates too! I hope all is well for you and look forward to seeing some of your new worx on ZBC soon!

nice thread man!, im curious as to why you would do this type of sketch in zbrush as compared to that of something like photoshop… is there some type of advantage? Also what tablet are you using?

Hey Geert, great to see your back in action, just checking by… any sculpts coming up? keep em coming… M.

Hexadecimator: thanks, glad u like! Quote:“im curious as to why you would do this type of sketch in zbrush as compared to that of something like photoshop… is there some type of advantage” that’s a great question! For me, ZBrush is a core concepting tool: it has very powerful instruments to help me visualize my 2 and 3 dimensional ideas. Everything starts in ZBrush and then - if needed- goes out to “secondary” software that specializes in a certain area (Photoshop for image manipulation, C4D for animation, … etc). Both PaintStop and Quicksketch are great for 2D work. Anyways, I like to stay within the ZBrush work environment for as long as possible. I use a Wacom A4 tablet (Intuos 3) - although I carry an old, cheap, small Wacom (30 USD) to sculpt on the go. hth  .

mutte696: thanks for stopping by! :). Had to take break for my TTVOR character stuff to do this hardsurface anatomy thing (had been on my mind for a long time!). Time!!!

Need more Z-time! Need more ZBC - time!
