Error opening my ZMV file

Hi all. I’ve been sculpting today and recorded the whole thing in timelapse, then saved the movie after playing through it a couple of times, and turned off the PC.

When I got back to work I couldn’t open the ZMV file anymore. I get the message “Error has been encountered while trying to load the file. Loading has been aborted.” Is there any way I can salvage the movie file, or is there perhaps some other software that can open it?

I’m running ZB4R2, and the zmv file is over 2 gigs in size. I was recording the doc on Medium size.

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a quick search but didn’t find any relevant results.

I want to keep this movie!

I’ve had the same problem a bunch of times. It happens to me when the movie exceeds a certain file size. The only way around it is to pause, export, delete, start recording again, and repeat so you have smaller files. Maybe when zB5 comes out, if it’s 64bit, and you’ll be able to open it. I had a zmv from 3.5 that crashed whenever I tried to open it, but in the current version it works fine.

If there is any other solution, I’m all ears!
