'end of file' error importing 8k 32bit displacement into photoshop

Hello all,

I’m getting an error ‘unexpected end of file was encountered’ while importing a 8k 32bit tiff displacement into photoshop cs5. I export using the multimap exporter trying various settings including setting all features, such as adaptive, inactive and also importing into an earlier version of photoshop. I can import 4k maps just but as soon as I create and attempt to open 8k maps created using the same settings, I get the end of file error in photoshop. Does anyone know of this issue and possible solutions?

I’ve not heard of this happening before. Try exporting a 8K 32 bit displacement directly from ZBrush (using the Tool>Displacement Map>Create and Export Map button) to see if you still get the same problem. Don’t turn on Adaptive as that will simply increase the time needed. Let me know the results, so that we can look into this further if necessary.
