Hi Pix I noticed that you incorporated your name on one of the roots.
On a thread sometime ago I memtioned that I always include something in my images that is not obvious to the viewer, having said that I think your name is too obvious, you could spread the name over several branches or roots, but do make it less obvious.
Another point, I am happy that it is called the enchanted forest, that means that any thing is possible, if it was not, the roots are anatomicaly not right.

With only a partial glimpse of your artistic vision, I’m reluctant to offer advice. But I can offer a few hearty “Wowzers!” This is “shaping up” to be one seriously awesome project. I hope that it does great in the contest.

There is a lot to be fixed and added and at this stage, I am simply experimenting with various ideas…
As for the questions…
The ‘tree’ modeled in the beta version but it can also be modeled in v1.23b (it will just take a bit longer). The image of composed of repeated, separately modeled tree-segments, which were placed in canvas and then textured. The image rendered with soft-shadows but the lights and surface textures are yet to be finalized.

DeeVee: The signature in the above image is intended to be clearly visible, but nonetheless, adding an ‘invisible’ signature sounds like a good idea
Dr. jjwow : That is exactly what I am currently doing testing the beta version of ZBrush to determine what features still need to be added or modified.
