So I have two tools I need to combine, but perserve the their uv’s, but this button is now grayed out? Yes both tools have uv’s 
so I’m not sure why this is happening.
I’ve no idea but a screen shot might help.
Figured it out, sorta. For whatever reason the tools I want to combine need to be duplicated before the preserve uv’s option is able to be activated.
