Hey, very nice work there. I really like the final image. Reminds me of a painting by a wildlife artist who’s identity is currently escaping me. It might be Bateman though (the one everyone knows). Mainly for the compositon and hazzy look to the image.

one small crit is that you could have reduced the specular a bit 
would have made the skin look much drier and harder

It’s looking very simple when I am watching in your thread. But one time I start to make an elephant and I know how tough was it. But this time I can try to make it.
