Editing topology - turning off transparency

The transparency that’s on by default when retopologizing a mesh is making it painful to place vertices when I have a whole lot already there because the ones on the other side of the mesh get in the way. Any way to turn it off?

preferences>draw>mess with the transparency settings.

Thanks for the response; there must be a better way, it looks like my only options are to not be able to see the verts/edges im drawing, or having to see right through the mesh.

has it’s pro’s and con’s. I’ve always retopo’d like this. Granted, I don’t use Zbrush to retopo anymore, Topogun or Modo for me.
