Working with curves is difficult sometimes, so I create a proxy shape to guide my curve. When I hide the proxy shape and continue to edit the curve, it creates new curve geometry. This makes it hard to place the curve exactly where I want. Ive attached 3 images.
- The green polygroup is the proxy object to guide the curve creation. I want to hide this before I continue refining the curve
- the proxy is hidden, this is the state I want the model to be in while I edit the curve
- as soon as I edit the curve shape, the proxy is revealed, and the tube is duplicated
If I delete hidden, the tube is still duplicated.
What is the suggested work flow for this? How can I get rid of the proxy/guide object so I can better refine my curve
