I am frustrated by Edge Loops - Kahn Academy says you have to to everything right in order to get on the the next level. Eric Keller wrote a treatise on Introducing Zbrush 4. On page 105 he introduced “Add Geometry with Edge Loops” I made the first edge loop construction in the first image. And in the second image you get what I get for pushing SDiv from 1 to 4. Disgusting. His image works OK. Mine doesn’t.

  1. Why can’t I get Edge Loops?
  2. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Why can’t I get it for 1 week? It frustrates me.

Did you try to freeze subdivision levels? I had the same problem and this worked for me.
