Earth Temple

Hi, I wanna Show one of my stuff in my reel

this is an earth temple, its not a cave. its between two cliffs
I modelled the base model in xsi, and sculp it in zbrush.
render in xsi

the statue on the bg are matte based on the concept

It needs something, perhaps a creature or some dieing plants? Very very close to top row work.

edit- maybe some more uneveness in the stair tiles and cracks as well. The columns look a bit too clean and could use more detoriation.

reminds me of something you might see in middle earth.

I like:+1:

It looks awsome, but what i cannot get is are the stairs half floating in the air or its just a visual illution?

Nice perspective.

I better start learning xsi properly, zbrush can never give such kind of percepective

Great environment sculpting!

You might consider making the statue more clear–I didn’t notice it until I looked at the concept sketch where it’s the focal point.

Great stuff man

@womball
thx, I mentioned that also, I gave some cracks but its not really appeared from distance, perhaps I need more low freq detail… ^^

@gottsbett
thank u

@dkzs
thx for the spot, its actually needs some more intersection like a dirt

@wckedsunny
lets pray that zb 2.5 have better perspective

@Marsyas
i noticed it, thx for the spot, actually I made this stills brighter than
my reel because it was darker before …, in the result the statue kinda washed away :frowning:

@ganes
thx man

Excellent piece! I really like the atmosphere. In some ways I like this better than the reference. Nice job on that…:smiley:

My major crit is one of composition. The vines with the hanging balls intersects the statues head. They are also much more contrasty than the statue, so you never really SEE the statue. Your eyes go directly to the balls on the vines. My suggestion is to raise the vines over the head of the statue like in the reference and add fog over them so they blend in the background more. Then the statue will stand out, becomeing more of the center of attetion it deserves…:smiley:

Either way, great piece and it gets a 5 star rating from me…

Looking good arif, I really dig your stuff!
