Here is an update on the single pass BPR tutorialā¦ I know some of you guys are into making creatures, so I wanted to test the Skin Material I build for the tutorial with a quick creature concept I made yesterday. Here a screen capture of a SINGLE PASS BPR render from ZBrush, no compositing, 20 seconds render.
I hope you guys like it!
I will post a couple of other creature concepts and you guys can let me know which one you would like me to use to describe the process in the tutorial.

They all would be good for different reasons.
- 1 because it's cool looking + easy to see the SSS + subtle specular
- 2 nice flesh colors + specular
- 3 easy to understand the SSS effect (ears) and rim light, also the paint texture over the skin has a waxy look and looks great.
My favorite is the number 1 ! :lol:

Whatās up guys! Iāve had a pretty busy month but Iām happy to say that Iām really close to finishing the single pass BPR skin tutorial!
this is the last image I will post before I publish it, and hopefully will get you exited! I know I am and I canāt wait to share it and see what you guys do with it!
This is just a little teaser from a screenshot I took while writing the last bits of the tutorialā¦ it has only 1 light, obviously the skin shader, and it took 1.2 seconds to render (@ 1080 x 720) with BPRā¦ no compositting!
