Dynamesh shelling problem

Hello gals and gents,
I am new to the forum and I am quite excited to be part of it. I am a jewelry designer and I am using Zbrush for free form and organic, realistic shapes. Now I am absessed with the shelling feature, but unfortunatly Iam doing something wron and even after watching Pavlovich movie for 20th time i cant figure it out.
No matter what I do my insert mesh is not visible. Please see the attached image. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like you are inserting a negative insert (Alt). It’s that way to indicate that it is a negative insert. You can turn on ‘Double’ in ‘Tool > Display Properties’ to see the whole thing.

You really should upgrade to ZBrush 4R6. Upgrades are still free!

thank you for the tip. I cant find the display properties though. I will Google it.
As far as upgrade it is not really my call. This is software I use at work.
