dynamesh insertmesh question

Hi

I have a question in regards to insert mesh( insert cylinder or insert sphere) when using dynamesh.as you see image below when doing the insertmesh with pressing ALT the mesh flips like I circled red. is that how it supposed to be? I watched some tutorials but when they do the insertmesh with ALT key the mesh doesn’t flip and shows as normal. is that normal??

also when I do the insert cylinder on the dynamesh it doesn’t subtract anymore. it only adds more cylinders like the picture.I uploaded a file here. http://www.sendspace.com/file/dnkg39
hope someone could explain this.

Yes, when you insert while pressing ALT the mesh will show flip normals. If want to see it completely you can go under Tool>Display Properties and enable Double.
Another way you can subtract is by just drawing your cutting meshes, then split in different subtools and use the boolean icons before merging down. When Dynameshing they should work fine.
An alternative work around is to group those meshes as Dynamesh Sub in Tool>Polygroups> Group As Dynamesh Sub button.

So you have different options to subtract in your dynamesh object

thanks for your response.I just have a one more question if that’s ok.When insertmesh or curvetube how can I delete the mesh instantly once I create it instead of Undo or delete hidden polygroup?? is there other way to delete them??

There is no quicker way than Undo if you don´t like. But If there is later edition needed i would suggest to split and delete or hide and delete hidden.
