Dynamesh causing garbage

I have been playing with Dynamesh lately and I love it, but I frequently come across this problem. Holes and jagged/noisy edges start to appear in t my models when I choose dynamesh regardless the settings (polish/projection/blur). And the more I dynamesh the more these artifacts appear making my models unlikely useful for rendering. There’s no difference if I choose “close holes”.

Any ideas how can I fix this?

It might happen on thin meshes.

Turn on BackfaceMask under Brush, smooth it out with Smooth brush and use clay brush to build it up again.

I think I know what exactly is going on. I often use Clipping Brushes and Dynamesh after, this is when the holes and noise show up. I figured that byusing BRadious the garbage is less prominent.

Any other suggestion will be highly appreciated.

unify the mesh before dynameshing. If the mesh is large for the Zbrush environment, you can get this type of noise when using dynamesh. There is a plugin for dynamsh called clean tool master that automates changing the meshes size so it is dynamesh friendly, then changes it back to the original mesh size when complete.

Link to Clean Tool Master.

Is not working for me either. I made another test with heavy use of clipping brushes. I compared the look between simple mesh, dynamesh and clean tool master’s dynamesh.

I uploaded the ztool HERE if you want to test it.

Take a look at the following screenshots.
