Dynamesh and messed up symmetry

When I dynamesh a tool, the topology always get messed up, especially the symmetry. After searching around I do get some indication that this is normal. Just asking here to see if this the case, so that I don`t need to trouble shoot this anymore. Thanks:-)

Hi @tbperu

Dynamesh is generally not a low poly tool. Increase the resolution to capture the cube with more accurate form.

Remember, with Dynamesh the point is to rapidly redistribute the topology to be adequate for sculpting, without having to worry about the actual topology. Dynamesh is not a tool that will generate export quality low poly topology. That is what ZRemesher is for, though no auto retopology tool will do the same job a human can do optimizing low poly hard surface topology. If you require topology that precise, you may need to construct it manually.

Any mesh can be forced into symmetry with tool > geometry > Modify Toplogy > Mirror and weld. But generally , if you’re worried about the topology, you’re not using Dynamesh as it was intended. It will just scramble the topology again the next time you use it anyway.

Hey, thanks for setting me straight so fast. One thing less to worry about:-)
