Dynamesh and duplicating a negative mesh

So I’m still very much learning ZBrush and I’m following a tutorial. In that tutorial person makes a mesh with dynamesh turned on and, with intention of making a shell out of it, duplicates it with move tool while holding also alt, then clears the mask twice - same as with insert mesh brushes - and it does indeed work same as negative insert mesh brush.

Duplication and Negative Meshes

In addition to the standard method mesh duplication using TransPose, it is possible to tag the duplicated mesh as a negative mesh. This additional function is specifically for use with DynaMesh and will not have any effect without remeshing your object. The negative mesh***8217;s volume will be subtracted from the mesh it was inserted into. An example of this feature***8217;s use is to create a duplicate copy of the same mesh that can then be used to create a shell. (See the DynaMesh section of this documentation for more info regarding shell creation.)
The steps to create a negative copy with TransPose are the same as for duplication. The only difference is that you hold Ctrl+Alt when dragging the Action Line by its middle white circle.

Now, I’m doing the same - holding ctrl and alt while duplicating with move - but after clearing the mask and updating dynamesh it doesn’t register as “negative” mesh and instead of a shell I’m getting a mesh with it’s duplicate just added to it. What am I doing wrong?

BTW. for clarification: I’m not trying to just make a simple hollow sphere, it’s a detailed mesh and I want those details on the inside aswell, so just using insert mesh brushes instead won’t cut it.

Still needing some help with this.
