I do not understand the hostility of the majority of the posters on this thread. It was a totally legitimate point that cookepuss made.
The work is good, but this guy Marks attitude is petty and reactionary.
Chill out. Nobody is going to want to hire a hothead who cannot even respond rationally to somebody who actually gave him a compliment.
His work is nice, but his attitude in his own thread is so offputting that it’s a collective. Ehe.

Thats not what I get at all. I think if you approach some one the wrong way in the beginning, they will be unlikely to have the “hey thanks, but don’t worry I got permission” but instead its almost an accusing tone like you already knew he was doing something wrong. I would be the same way if I felt some one was trying to cause problems. Anyway… like many other comments said, wheres the new work? I would love to see more

Why on earth would you post a comment like this? the misunderstanding seems to have died down and you seem to want to coax it back into life.
I don’t think anybody was being hostile in this thread and Cokepuss was right to raise the point (although a PM might have been the better way to do it)

I rarely post on this forum, as it has usually become the posting grounds of people exactly like cookpuss and Chris Spade, who are into high jacking posts made by professionals artists.
Marks is a professional I have known for a very long time and for those of you that think that IP infringement is something worth bringing up in this post then you’re really not serving the function of this forum.
Clearly, judging from the talent on display here one could at the very least assume that Marks has all his legal ducks in a row before posting. Isn’t that a safe assumption? So why then bring it up?
I am also in complete agreement with ZedHead and additionally the moderators should remove Chris Spade’s post as it is clearly designed to inflame. The only person on this thread calling people names is Chris Spade. How is Marks a hothead again? He told someone to mind his own business? That’s fair, because it is highly likely that Marks knows more about the intellectal property he is posting than anyone else on this forum. AND for the sake of agrument if there was an issue it would be resolved through Marks and the owners of the IP I would think.
Sad that there are people out there taking away from a great post and an incredble talent under the guise of helping him. Like he needs it anyway, Marks is disgustingly talented.
Please Mark - if you wouldn’t mind going through some of your processes and work flow I know that I personally and the many other posters on this forum would be much appreciated. Thanks for a great posting - please show us more! 
Some nice work here, though I can’t say I’m too crazy about the Duke model - his proportions look kinda funky (though that might be the style that was intended): his torso looks a tad short and the legs too long and bulky. His feet also seem huge.

The thread? Well, I waded through it in the hope to see some more, but no.
It degraded into politics which, at best, makes it very boring.
You’re a grown-up and highly accomplished artist, and I’m pretty shure you know damn well what you’re doing.
Duke Nukem was one of my first trips into 3d gaming.
I like what you did with the models, thumbs up for your work, and best of luck getting back into industry soon.
