Duck-Bill Platypus - A Poseable Figure

Hello Zfriends,
It’s been awhile, lotsa new talent and faces around here. Good to see that it is as active and cheerful as it has ever been here!
Here is one of my latest projects… finally coming to a close after being shelved for a few months.
This figure started it’s life as a Zsphere Adaptive skin model and eventually found it’s home in Poser. The texture map was created using AUVtile UVmapping and Texture Master of course.
Thanks for looking,
Michael

@PusGhetty: “… found it’s home in Poser!”

Is it poseable then IN Poser?? Just asking because I wondered if this could be done for a long time now.

Thanks PusGhetty,
Nice work. You may have given me some insight that I needed to work with ZSpheres. :+1:

Quick question. In the “3rd frame” is that adaptive skinning with higher densities and then “pushed and pulled”?

Hi P,

Nice to see your work again.

This is one of the more informative posts in past months. Great presentation of concept and execution, sure to inspire lots of new ZBrushers to try more ambitious ZSphere work.

Post more soon!

Sven

PusGhetty, excellent modelling  Couldn’t help but noticing the lower left pic that shows a curve-version of the model… is it nurbs??? how did you do that?

Thanks for the step by step presentation. This
is a very nice modeling session.
Happy more zbrushing! :+1:

Andres, Thanks bud, 1000 posts yippeee!!

Zerebrush,
Yes, it is now a completely original fully poseable Poser figure. Here are some links to a few more of my figure WIP’s.

Pus Poseable Dwarf

Bozo_boy,
Yes, that is exactly how I did it… increase the mesh resolution and push/pull/ draw to sculpt the details into the final model.
Here is a link that might shed some more light on the subject:

Svengali,
Thanks for the great compliments! I like to share my workflow!

Cesar,
Muchos Gracias Amigo!
The image you are asking about is a Poser render of the objects grouping. these lines are not NURBS, rather they are simply the boundaries of the objects individual groups.
I grouped the .obj file using Steve Cox’s UVMapper.

Matvara, Danke!! ;~)

Manitu,
Thank you! Rare indeed! Schnabeltier, what an odd name! ;~)

Fouad B.,
Merci! ;~)

Gary,
Hey thanks bro… I still miss your presence over at www.3DCommune.com! Where have ya been?

Deb,
Thank you very much old friend! The image(s) you envision could easily be done now that the figure is a Posette.

Best regards to all of you,
Michael
