The DSmooth slider in Display Properties is for smoothing edges, right (well it doesn’t change the geometry)? But why does this slider has absolutly no visible effect on my geometry? I’m working with objs imported and subdivided.

Great, that’s it! But you should point this out in the online docs. The description about DSmooth doesn’t mention this.
