How do I draw a thin but ‘tall’ continuous line?

If I set the brush size small, the line is thin but also very small in Z.

If I use an alpha like Alpha 47, the ‘line’ is thin and tall but I can only get a series of dots, not a continuous line. I tried LazyMouse but that didn’t help.

Yes Lazy Mouse does help, drop the Lazy Step to the lowest possible value (not zero) and set lazy smooth to 0.
