Hey Guys,
I’m pretty new to ZBrush, and encountered a problem thats probably easy to fix.
I’m using the Dragrect stroke and the standard brush on an alien model. I’m also using a vein alpha. With no mirroring in x and with zAdd on I draw a vein on the aliens forearm. It looks good but when I rotate around the arm the vein seems to be copied on the back of my model, but then subtracted inside the model (as if I drew the same vein with zSub selected).
I’m attaching two screenshots to illustrate the behavior.
The first screenshot shows the dragrect used to make a (ridiculously) large vein on the front of the forearm.
The second one shows the same vein but pushed inside the model (as if you’re using zSub) on the backside of the same forearm. The problem is that the vein in the second screenshot appeared by creating the one in the first.
Backface masking did not fix the problem, sadly.
The normals on the original model in maya are all facing the correct direction.
I’m not using mirroring or symmetry from the Transform menu.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance,
Jan
