DragRect in Projection Master?

When I enter Projection Master and use the Drag Rect tool to place an alpha on my mesh, I am not able to rotate the alpha. Is this a bug? Even the rotate tool is grayed out after drawing out the alpha, but I can move it around and scale it. I’m using Zbrush 3.1.

Thanks!

You mean you can’t rotate while you’re drawing it, or you can’t rotate it after you’ve dropped it?

If you want to rotate after you’ve dropped it, use stencils. Coin controller lets you move and rotate.

I can’t rotate while drawing, it’s just placed straight up and down.
After I let go of the mouse button I can still use the move and scale button to modify what I just drew, but not rotate.

Using dragrect to draw alphas outside of projectionmaster still works though, then the image rotates depending on how I move the cursor.

Directional brush?

Svengali has the right of it. You need to use the Directional Brush tool if you want to rotate as you drag.

For other tools, you can draw your stroke and then immediately press R to turn on the gyro in rotate mode. You can then use the gyro rotate the stroke that you just drew, as well as move and scale it.

Yes, the Directional brush did the trick!

Thank you!
