I have a quick question regarding DragRect. When I drag out an alpha but I want to move it on the model, go back to scaling, maybe move it again then place it. How would I go about “moving” the DragRect alpha around?
If you use Projection Master you can drop the model to the canvas. Once that has been done you can draw a stroke and then activate the Gyro in Move, Scale or Rotate mode. This will let you edit the last stroke drawn. Then use Projection Master to pick the model up again.
Alternatively, you could convert your alpha to a stencil and use the Coin controller (hold spacebar while Stencil is on) to position it just how you want it. You can then sculpt (or paint) through the Stencil. The Stencil palette gives you a number of modifiers to get just the right results, such as allowing the Stencil to wrap to the surface.
(By the way, I moved this thread from the Sculptris forum because it’s a ZBrush question.)
Also, if you start the stoke off of the subtool, you can scale and position it however you want. For example: While holding down Ctrl, select your alpha and the DragRect stroke. Start the stroke on an empty part of the canvas. Without letting go of Ctrl, hold down the Spacebar to move it or let go of the Spacebar to re-scale it again or press Spacebar to move it again. If you want the alpha to scale squarely, then use the ‘Rect’ stroke instead of the ‘DragRect’ stroke and enable ‘Square’ and ‘Center’ in your stroke options.
Note: If you use the Rect stroke instead of the DragRect stroke, you don’t have to start the stroke on an empty spot on the canvas and can start directly on the subtool.
