This dragon is a WIP and I am in the process of creating the rest of the body. I shall have a go at relighting the model once I have finished.
Any questions, crit welcome

Real nice render! Great excution of concept, but I would like to know what platform you used to render? I’m looking forward to you next render with your new light setup. Because of his coloration this dragon could be “Smaug”, although he would need a “jeweled waist coat”
Hello
Thanks for your comments, I used Maya-mental ray to render it. I will get a better result when I get a little time to spend on rendering but that will have to wait until I finish the rest of the body.
Cheers dued
Thanks for the tip telling me it could be “Smaug” That gives me a really good body of research to look up. I was just thinking about producing a typical European dragon.
Smaug is the last great dragons of Middle-earth, Smaug is the main antagonist in The Hobbit who had previously laid waste to the town of Dale and captured the Lonely Mountain (Erebor) with all its treasure. He was already centuries old during this and over 200 years more passed before the events of The Hobbit. The book recounts the tale of a party of dwarves (a few of the original residents of the Lonely Mountain and their descendants) to recapture the mountain and kill the dragon. Smaug is described as reddish-gold and was said in accounts of the Red Book that he was of great size. In the book he is sometimes named Smaug the Golden or Smaug the Magnificent.
Yes Yes Yes, I shall read up on this today and get cracking.
Hi.
Did you make texture whit zb?
your pictures are good tutorials for me!
Thanks,thanks and thanks!
wow very nice
Hi Homi and Finito
Thanks for your comments, I textured it with a series of projections in Zbrush and the textures are from a collection of lizards that I found from Google.
Cheers
Realy?can you give me a link? plz:D
Some more odds and sods, I hope to sit down and finish one soon
hi LittleClaude
I really like the Dragon model, and the way you have textured it. something to think about, i think when you come to the final mode you could have his moth open a bit more if he has fier coming out of his moth. it would make him more menosing and Bad ass. but other than that i think it looks grate.
I really like the other model you have done as well, alto i think the T- rex can do with a little bit more work. I dont know if you have ever seen the walking with dinosaurs live, but they had a grate T rex in this. also there is a Dinosaur park in the Uk that had some relly cool real life models, i haven’t been there for years but i remember it being really good. a grate place to take Kids as well.
i wish you the best of luck and Keep posting more stuff. the models are looking grate.
