Here is a script showing the way to make a wing with some textured feathers. A scanned feather works more nice and the wing has to be made of more feather planes. This is just showing how to do. Remind the script does not show when I go in projection master.wing.zip (110 KB)

Im, it’s not realy new but another way using the morphtool. Using this methode, you can use the 2.5 brushes and make a texture in the same time.

Interesting idea. Just wish there was some way in Zbrush to build polygons on the back side to make it a closed mesh. I’m sure it’d be a tricky thing to do with displacement maps in place.

Bas, thanks, that is a quicker way and the hat has no choice but to fit perfectly on the head it was sculpted on. Your tips and techniques are always helpful.

The technique is very effective. But I’m particularly taken with your choice of colours … black, green and red is a tough combination to pull off. But succeed you have. :+1:
