Why does this not work?

Can any one tell me please.I am trying to make my own web site and am useing a book to teach my self.That is exactly the same as in the book.But it won’t work. It is supposed to be Javascript Mouse Over-BUT!

And can any one tell me how to put pis on a web page like this

instead of like this

C:\My Documents\Web Page\my pics\image_a.jpg

By the way there is no break inbetween the mOver nad mOut at the top the forum keept saying it did not alow the html code mOver and would not let me post this quirry.

Are you working local or remote?

Are you using a text editor or something like Frontpage?

Do you have all your files located properly within the architecture of your website?

“are you working local or remote”? -Not sure-I havn’t got the page on line yet and I’m using Micrsoft Internet Explorer with a phone line connection-if that answers that.

“are you using a text editor or…”-I’m just using Note pad but do have Ultra Edit-32 8.2(not sure on how to use it yet)

HELP PLEASE-I need a lot of it I think.

It should be onMouseover not on Mouseover

evoken thanks for the reply but there is no break between the onMoveover or the onMoveOut it is just that ZCentral keept saying that they didn’t permit the html of the two words so I just put spaces in them so they would be there.

Thanks Evoken for the reply-I’ll go and give it a shot.Sory for the extra reply you must haave been typing when I was but you got yours in first.

Tried it but it changed the screen from getting text to getting a little square with a x in it but no pic.Tried right clicking and pressing the show pic button but nothing.

if you are out on another host site rather than your own computer then you wouldnt wanna put it up in the src looking into the directory on your computer…that will make it pull up the image from the machine you are on and not on the net…think that is what/why kathy was asking about the local or remote site…it should be looking for where you have the image located…ie… example… www.angelfire.com/biz2/webhome/imgages/yourimage.html
I know am not being clear probably…but that is what the problem is if you are posting on someone elses server…lemme know…this is how like on one of my sites the code is posted…<p align=“left”><img border=“0” src=“http://hometown.aol.com/catfishmn/images/Tzombie1.jpg” width=“157” height=“132”><a href=“http://hometown.aol.com/catfishmn/images/zombie1.jpg”>http://hometown.aol.com/catfishmn/images/zombie1.jpg</a></p>
