"Docking Station"

“Docking Station”

I used standard render on this one, due to the huge amount of detail which was lost or dimmed when using best render…

(all critique encouraged)

Daniel, first off… sleep much?

Second, I love your attention to composition, lighting and depth. You could probably create a great image just using spheres. Really neat concept work, overall. Do you work as a concept artist?

Thanks for the inspiring work.

Adman

Daniel,
I enjoy all your work. Nice going :+1:

That is some depth! Excellent image! :+1:

Another winning image Daniel! Love the texture the depth and the lighting in this one. You have a great style going. I also wondered how you can constantly produce these excellent images. I suspect that ‘sleep’ isn’t even a word in your vocabulary. HaHa. :sunglasses: :+1: :+1:

Daniel,
I’m a fan of your work.
I can’t wait until you get your hands on 1.5.
You have the ability of creating an image that doesn’t make obvious what tools you used at first glance. Not to mention insanely quick at getting these out one after another.

perfection!

The depth is amazing. Combined with your great style, this is a joy to look at :+1:

I echo Jlees’ comment regarding you and 1.5…I think the new render engine, combined with your imagination and skill, will be an incredible synthesis…

Great work!

“Huge amount of detail” just about sums it up for this one! Another superb painting in the on-going series. :+1: :+1: :+1:

I love the surrealistic atmosphere you’ve created here. Beautiful work, Daniel! :+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

Thank yoü all for you replies! Well, it seems there IS some sleeping disorder last week…

to Adman: I wear many hats…

to jelee: Yes, 1,5 should be a real power-up, since I feel myself to be rather figural painter

Comments to the image: The scene itself is actually quite simple, there is about 20 spheres (so you were quite close, Adman), 2 rings 3d and the main dome was created with sweep profile.
