Latest presentation still looks lots better! Great job.

this thread is underrated. Best looking maggot i’ve seen in years

Hey thank you michalis! Yes it does! It supports all the lights, but I used only two. For sub suirface scatering I opened a preset, thesss sphere (found under materials of lightbox) and modified it till I thought it’s cool enough

For this one however I rendered out a couple of passes also with bpr

Once again, a special thanks to Tin Talijan for modeling the pearls

Thanks Tobbeo!

Hey Dennis! Happy you feel that way, thanks!

Thank you so much Cesar for shairng your wrinkling techniques! I loved the tut, and your approas, now It makes a lot more sense. And here’s my first “understanding” venture in the world of wrinkles. Highly recommend his dvd

Only I didn’t do it in layers, just experimenting for the first time and having loads of fun! Trying to get the fibers to go where I want them as well hehe.

Can you recognize him?

hey cherub_rock if you dont mind me saying you have made leaps and bounds of progress from when you first started… showing alot of effort and dedication on your part. great seeing an artist grow over time. great caterpillar concept and your recent one is great to has a very solid form to it. and i agree its a great tutorial especially the pinch brush wrinkle trick look forward to seeing the progress you make with zbrush 4…keep up the good work…

Cool, so it at least looks like him  Still a lot to do though.

Thank you Troy! Ditto, only I’m more accustomed to damien std, so I’m using that one instead.

Great last sculpt!
What about the fibers shader? I’m still checking it, lot of questions and lot of crashes actually.

Hey Michalis! Thanks again  Oh, I’m just playing with it under the materials menu, pretty self explanitory, unless I’m missing something like the thickness of the root and the tip hehe, and how to hide the mesh it’s being applied to…“self explanitory” right?

Exactly so cherub

WOW! cherub you rock :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:
great progress man i really like the pic of the caterpillar, and julius & nanny ogg look superb, too
excellent works dude!

Thanks Schiefer! I reckon K turned in his grave you calling him Julius  Thank you!

Haha - lol your right i didn’t get that
I just saw that nose and thought it must be julius caesar
but anyway he looks great

Hehe, it’s Jiddu Krishnamurti. But it’s still wip if anyone’s having doubts at this stage they’re probably justified

Another one. I experimented with spotlight, great tool once you get to know it  But I didn’t like the color when rendered with sss, so here’s bw.

Wow another one. Excellent sculpt :+1:
About the renderer:

but you already know julian_Ks thread.
Do you know how to use multiple color-lights using BPR?

Michalis beat me to the punch, and took the words right out of my mouth…EXCELLENT…:+1:

Really nice work!

Hey michalis! Yeah I’ve bookmarked it, thanks! Sorry, I don’t, I’ve might have succeeded on the first Nanny Ogg render, but I dunno how for I haven’t repeated it for the second sadly  You had any luck finding out?

Spirit Dreamer, thanks!

Thank you so much rynomyte!
