Djima - Wabi-Sabi

Following is a visual I created to promote a live set project for my musician friend Djima. His idea was to create something that blends his Togolese roots with the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

We used the philosophical concept of Wabi-Sabi as an inspiration for the piece, which is the celebration of imperfection. The beauty of modest, humble and atypical things.

The entire mask was sculpted in Zbrush. The recently implemented knife brushes came in very handy to fracture the various pieces.

Cheers,

Eddy
