dividing the mesh without smoothing is slightly smoothed

hi
i ve modeled a vehicle with very hard uncurved surfaces.
you could say thr car consists of planes and boxes. i wanted
to take the car into zbrush and project some additional detail onto
the plane surfaces. although i turned of smoothing in the geo dividing
options, the geo is slightly different with each subdivision.
as i build the model for a game engine i need a normal map at the end.

but the slightly different geometry causes an unclean normal map which creates
strange edges where hrd egdes should be.

how can i avoid this and divide with 0% smoothing, so that the subdivision. 6 is looking like the 0?
dont forget i turned of smoothing, but ther is still some subD like 1 %.
do you know perhaps a workaround or a different appeal?

thx n cheers

If you wish to subdivide a model that is a combination of hard edges and curves, and you already have deliberately made geometry that supports it (your hard edges are along natural polygon edges), you will need to make use of the Crease controls in the geometry sub-palette.

http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Tool:Geometry_Subpalette

Basically, you hide a group of polygons, and a a crease is applied along the border of the polygons that are hidden. Afterwards, that portion will subdivide with a hard edge, while everything else will be smoothed.

thank you. this is increasing the quality about 95 %.
there is still some unwanted smoothing, but almost invisible.

thank you
