In the process of following a simple tutorial I have reached a point which I can’t get past due to something strange happening which I may be be the cause of?
I made a normal sphere with an indent, by pushing against a circular end in the mesh, thus creating an indented circle. The centre of this, by using polygroups was seen in the tutorial as a pupil for a potential eye. This was made into a seperate sub tool at first and then merged with the main sphere.
In the tutorial, a simple worm shape is made onto which he appends the eye. This appears, as in the tutorial as a large sphere covering the worm shape. While the in the tutorial he is able to move the sphere away from the worm shape and then scale to an appropriate size, my sphere won’t move without the indented circle becoming out of shape. I have tried it with and without the shift key but with no improvement and I have moved the worm shape away from the sphere and then tried moving or resizing the sphere, and still the distortion happens.
I have done much more complex things without a problem so wondered what could be causing this on something so simple?
