Hi there,

this should be no problem, but I cannot search for this feature, because, cough, I have no word for this.

So, my question is: what is this feature called (suddenly, the screen becomes bright and by pressing the space bar a navigation button occurs), so that I can look for it (see screenshot)

You’ve activated the Stencil. You can turn it off again in the Stencil palette or press Alt+H.

You can create a stencil on the fly like this:

  1. Make sure the Lasso selection is switched on.
  2. Hold down Ctrl+Shift and click+drag to draw a selection.
  3. Let up Ctrl+Shift before releasing the mouse.

I expect you did this by accident when selecting part of the mesh. To avoid doing it again, simply let up the mouse first then release Ctrl+Shift.

You are right, I pressed these buttons by accident - and it is a bit embarrassing, not to know, what I must searching for :slight_smile:
