Hello everybody!
I have a small problem concerning displacement maps. I Have a high res model of a couch with sculpted stitches and seams on it and i want to apply these stitches per displacement map to a renderable object.
Until now, the Displacement map produces pretty strange results in the rendering (tried with mental ray for Maya and Houdini). The rendered seams look spiky and ugly.
The Displacement Settings in MultiMap Exporter are all standard (Scale 1, Intensity 0, Adaptive 1, 16bit). The sulpted Seams on the Highres Model look good and smooth.

What could cause the problem?
And what exactly do the two values “Intensity” and “Scale” mean? (The Multimap Help offers a pretty confusing explanation)
