I modeled a guy in maya, sculpted him in Zbrush, then created displacement map, brought it back to maya. After applying texture map and displacement map, I noticed weird hard edges on his face. Why is this happening? I used the same setup and pipeline as the previous model I did a month ago. Didn’t have this kind of problem. Does anyone have any clue why this is happening? I’ve tried both softening/hardened edge function in maya, but didn’t affect anything.
