I have some sculpts I would like to take into 3dsmax 2010 and render out using the SSS shader. I need to use a Displacement map to get the detail right,but cant seem to get the Dis map to work. My models always turn out extremely bloated. I’ve tried messing with the Alpha gain, but don’t no what I’m doing. Could someone please point me to a good character tutorial or tell me how to do this correctly. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
If your model is bloated viewing it in 3DS Max, in render, you probably have to adjust the displacement strength. The default is 100, but it would have to be much less.
