Displacement Map Generation Problem

Hey all. I’m a Zbrush newbie (needed it to detail a complex model for a demo reel), so I’m having some trouble.

I’m doing a model of a dragon in Maya and using Zbrush to create the displacement maps for his scales and other details…however the Displacement Map generated is completely wrong. I checked using the exact same settings and was able to get a proper map working on other models and even a test on the dragon itself…but when I try to create the displacement on the final dragon model, it comes out all wrong.

It almost looks like it isn’t accurate enough, but I did it with depthPixels at 4 and a 4098 map size. Any idea’s on why I’m getting a map that looks like this??"

The mapping looks like GUVTiles. Have you tried flipping the map vertically and applying it in Maya?

If the UV mapping was created in Maya, then there is most likely a problem with the settings used to export the model from Maya. You should check Maya’s documenation, or the FAQ>Other Applications>Maya section of ZBrushCentral.
