Displacement Issues in 3.12

Hey Guys,

I’m pretty new at this Zbrush thing.
Anyways,
I am having huge problems with Zsphere UVs and Displacement export.
All my renders in Cinema 4d have crazy seams.

Here’s my workflow.

Create a character in Zspheres.
Make into polymesh.
Subdivide and create details.
Go to lowest subdivision.
Set UV rez and UV type.
Create Displacement map.
Export Dislacement.
Export OBJ (NO GRP) of lowest subdiv.
Take Disp map into PS and vert flip.
Apply map to OBJ in C4D…

…Everything is in the right spot…tons of seams, on almost every poly intersection.

Anyone else getting this?

Anyone have working export settings they’s like to share… or a working workflow for C4D?

Thx.

Try exporting the mesh at it’s lowest subdivision, UV in C4D, and import the newly UV’d mesh with your modeled tool selected. Then generate your displacement map and export the map. (e.g. don’t UV in Zbrush.) It might help as C4D might be having trouble with ZB’s UVs.

You might also need “Riptide” for moving your .obj files in and out of C4D. I find that C4D’s .obj import/export is somewhat restrictive.
