Displace map doesn't created

Hi guys, I’m very principiant about zb.
I’m trying to do some example for learn it.:wink:
Then, if I try to use Terrain tool (default) I’ve no problem

My steps:
-import tool (terrain)
-subdivide and sculpt it
-level 1 and Store it (morph target)
-in displacement, “adaptive” and “smooth UV”

  • in MD3, export map “Create all” with the default parameters

If I try with a my column, doesn’t work. It creates a gray map, without nothing. I don’t understand it (my oby has UV ok, see last image on right):cry:

why that? where is it wrong?

The UV’s that you show look awfully strange for a column. It may be that the part of the model you sculpted doesn’t have any correlation on the UV map. So nothing appears to happen.

Also, your steps are wrong. It should be:


  1. Import
  2. Store a morph target
  3. Divide and detail
  4. Return to level 1
  5. Switch to the previously stored morph target
  6. Adjust your settings and create the map

Then, UV aren’t correct, I know it but I did them very quicly for try sculpting.
Anyway, yesterday I did some tests and if I don’t store a morph target, it works.
It’s strange :confused:
